Abstract: 

SEVERAL POLYURETHANE ELASTOMERS WERE SYNTHESIZED BY A CONVENTIONAL CROSSLINKER AND TWO PSEUDO GENERATIONS OF HYPERBRANCHED POLYESTER POLYOL (HBPE) AS NEWFANGLED CROSSLINKING AGENTS. THE TRANSPORT BEHAVIOR OF THESE NETWORKS WAS STUDIED BY SORPTION EXPERIMENT USING A VERY AGGRESSIVE AROMATIC SOLVENT. AS A RESULT OF THE HIGH DEGREE OF CROSSLINKING AND LOW SORPTION CAPACITY, THE PERMEABILTY OF HYPERBRANCHED POLYURETHANES (HBPUS) WAS MUCH LOWER THAN THAT OF THE CONVENTIONAL PU NETWORK, BUT THE DIFFERENCES IN PENETRATION RATE WERE NOT NOTABLE.

Abstract: 

هدف از این مطالعه کاهش ارتعاشات محیطی انتقال یافته از طریق زمین به ساختمان اداری ذوب شرکت فولاد خوزستان بود که باعث ناراحتی هایی برای کارکنان مشغول به کار در ساختمان مذکور می شد.برای این منظور در ساختمان مذکور که دارای سه طبقه است، 14 نقطه تعیین و اندازه گیری ارتعاشات محیطی القا شده به کل بدن کارکنان در نقاط مذکور صورت گرفته و سپس با حد کاهش کارایی در اثر خستگی و حد مواجهه موجود در استاندارد ISO-2631 مقایسه شد. نتایج نشان داد که ارتعاشات در ساختمان اداری ذوب که در فاصله 25 متری از و احد اکسیژن شرکت پگاه کوشان و اقع شده، بالاتر از شاخص کاهش کارایی در اثر خستگی و در بعضی نقاط هم بالاتر از حد مواجهه است.لذا برای یکاهش ارتعاش پس از مطالعه گزینه های مختلف، روش کانالی انتخاب شد و پس از محاسبات، کانال به و سیله ماسه و دو لایه از یونولیت به ضخامت 20 سانتی متر پر گردید. اندازه گیری های بعدی، کارایی خوب این روش را در کاهش امواج سطحی نشان داد (50 تا 70%).

Abstract: 

The BARRIER polypropylene (PP) films were prepared via reactive blending of PP with polyethylene terephthalate (PET) in an intermeshed co-rotating twin-screw extruder. Films were prepared via extrusion through a flat die followed by postextrusion stretching. The effects of compatibilizer, PP-g-MA, content and draw ratio were investigated. SEM micrographs showed that the dispersed phase inclusion size decreases significantly upon the addition of compatibilizer. Morphological studies of the films have shown that laminar morphology was developed in the machine direction rather than in transverse direction. The optimum morphology was observed at 5% compatibilizer concentration. Tensile tests showed that melt stretching has resulted to the inferior PROPERTIES except modulus. Mechanical PROPERTIES of blends decreased significantly upon the addition of PET and increased as the compatibilizer content was raised to 10%. Higher contents, however, showed no improvement, as it just improves the physical PROPERTIES of the blends. Blending results in 200% improvement in the oxygen BARRIER PROPERTIES. Permeability of the stretched films and compression moulded films showed 25-35% improvement in the oxygen BARRIER PROPERTIES. The maximum BARRIER property of the extruded films was observed at 5% compatibilizer and draw ratio of 2. Higher contents (up to 15%) resulted in decreased oxygen BARRIER PROPERTIES.

Abstract: 

Context: This article reviews the available evidence about the BARRIER membranes utilized in Guided Tissue Regeneration process to prevent the migration of unfavorable cells to the wound area.Evidence Acquisition: Available evidence about membranes PROPERTIES and their different uses were reviewed, and the results of clinical and animal studies and systematic reviews were gathered.Results: A large number of existing membranes with different features and compositions may lead to different study results; none of the available membranes can result in %100 predictable outcomes.Conclusions: Effectiveness of membranes in treating intrabony defects is very controversial; however, treating furcation defects using membranes was reported to be successful in a large number of studies.

Abstract: 

The use of nano fillers is a good strategy to improve the PROPERTIES of biopolymer-based packaging films. The present study prepared zein-based nano composite film containing montmorillonite using the solvent casting method. Mechanical, BARRIER, and thermal PROPERTIES of the film were investigated. The x-ray diffraction patterns indicated that the composite film has an exfoliated structure. The results showed that the montmorillonite significantly improved the mechanical, BARRIER, and thermal PROPERTIES of the zein film. The highest elongation (9.65%) and tensile strength (22.62 MPa) were obtained for the zein nano coposites containing 0 and 10% montmorillonite, respectively. Increasing the montmorillonite content from 0% to 5% decreased the water vapor permeability of the zein film from 1.73 to 1.23 (28%). This parameter significantly increased (1.93) in film containing 10% montmorillonite. The thermal degradation temperature of zein film increased (from 353 to 373 °C) by increasing the montmorillonite content from 0% to 10%. The results revealed that a small amount of montmorillonite can improve the mechanical and BARRIER PROPERTIES of zein film, although uniform dispersion of montmorillonite in the zein network is essential to improving the PROPERTIES of the film.

Abstract: 

THIS PAPER CONSIDERS A NOVEL METHOD OF MIXING NONPOLAR POLYETHYLENE WITH POLAR NANOCLAY. SAMPLES WERE PRODUCED BY INJECTING NA+-MONTMORILLONITE (NA+-MMT) INTO A HDPE/COMPATIBILIZER BLEND IN MELT STATE IN A CO-ROTATING TWIN-SCREW EXTRUDER. ALSO A SOLUTION CONTAINING DODECYL TRIMETHYL AMMONIUM CHLORIDE SALT IN DISTILLED WATER WAS INJECTED INTO THE EXTRUDER USING A HIGH PRESSURE DOSING PUMP TO MODIFY NA+-MMT IN AN IN-SITU PROCESS. USING X-RAY DIFFRACTION (XRD), ATOMIC FORCE MICROSCOPY (AFM) AND SOLVENT PERMEABILITY, EFFECTS OF SOME MATERIAL PROPERTIES ON MORPHOLOGY AND BARRIER PROPERTIES OF PRODUCED BOTTLES WERE INVESTIGATED. XRD AND AFM SHOWED THAT THE NANOCOMPOSITE STRUCTURE DEPENDS ON THE COMPATIBILIZER TYPE. THE SOLVENT PERMEABILITY OF THE HDPE/CNA NANOCMPOSITES PRESENTED LOWER PERMEABILITY THAN THE HDPE AND HDPE/HDPE-G-MA SAMPLES.
